Care UK responds to speculation in Doncaster

Company news

Care UK was recently commissioned by Doncaster Council to take over responsibility for providing a learning disability contract which supports over 130 people. As a part of the contract, Doncaster Council requires the service to be more cost-effective and to offer the people that it supports a higher quality service.

Care UK has already begun implementing its plan to improve the quality and safety of the service that transferred from the previous NHS provider, which had already discussed with its team the necessity to review terms and conditions.  Care UK has protected the basic pay and pensions of colleagues at this service and, following a review, has confirmed that current pay enhancements are substantially higher than for other similar services.

Care UK initiated dialogue to introduce changes to terms and conditions in the fairest and most sustainable way. Care UK's priority is to secure the future of this vital service and to ensure it continues to offer the people that it supports care of the highest quality.
