Kings Court are runners up in the “Great Christmas Cake Off” competition

Home news

Kings Court care home has been announced as the runners up of Care UK’s Great Christmas Cake Off competition. The Christmas competition, which stretched across all Care UK homes and day centres, asked homes to bake a cake. The competition created some festive fun and also encouraged everyone to get involved in the baking of the cake, form residents to activities coordinators and chefs. Homes that participated in the competition submitted a storybook, highlighting what the home went through to bake a cake. There were three categories that the entries were judged on:

  • Creativity & Festiveness
  • Resident involvement
  • Storybook presentation

Kings Court proved to score very well and were worthy runners up in the competition. They created a story book titled ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’. The story book was created with the help of residents and included photos of them making the cakes and brainstorming ideas.

Kings Court won a cash prize for winning the competition, which will be used for the resident’s fund.
