Kings Court

Welcome to Kings Court

At Kings Court our team provide specialist residential and respite care for older people. We take pride in delivering flexible, personalised and innovative care.

Our historic building used to be the King’s Head hotel. Charles Dickens once stayed here and even mentioned it in ‘Nicholas Nickleby’. The hotel ballroom is now our residents’ lounge and many of our bedrooms are generously sized too.

There's a bedroom to suit every taste at Kings Court, and each is warm, bright and comfortable. Most rooms have en-suite facilities, and all include stylish furniture, phone, internet and television connections and a 24-hour nurse call system. We also have double rooms for couples and siblings who want to stay together, as well as two apartments.

Meet the team

The dedicated and experienced team at Kings Court will provide your loved one with care that is completely tailored to their individual needs and wishes.

The thing I like most about Kings Court is the friendly atmosphere we have here. Our team have really strong, personal relationships with the residents. I think it helps that everyone in our team is from the local area, so we have a lot in common with residents who’ve also grown up and worked around here.

What others have to say

Here are just some of the comments we’ve received from family, friends and residents at Kings Court care home.

They are just so friendly, they’re happy, caring people. It's not just a job to them, it’s a vocation.

Relative of a resident, July 2019

They explain what they are going to do and ask her if it’s okay to do that particular thing.

Relative of a resident, March 2019

Thank you all so much for taking care of Mum for almost 7 years. The work you do is invaluable and the care shown was much appreciated by all the family.

Lynne, January 2019

We could not have looked after Wynne as well as you all have. You are all lovely caring people and the care Wynne received was exceptional.
