The team at Francis Court is joining forces with Kieron Robertson, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan, and Fiona Dodd from Mayowynne Baxter Solicitors for the free information-led event which will provide guidance on funding long term care – whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at residential care – as well as offering advice on wills and power of attorney.
According to home manger Nicola Palladino, an ageing population means there is a growing need to open-up access to expert advice for those planning future care for loved ones. “It was recently revealed that by 2030 there will be more than two million people aged 65 and over in the UK with no child living nearby to give care if needed. This means more and more people will be worrying about the future care of loved ones, and how care is funded is understandably an important practical consideration.
“We see how access to the right information and clearly delivered advice can help families make sense of their available options. We have therefore invited Kieron and Fiona along to lead this free event at Francis Court. As trusted professionals with a wealth of experience in matters surrounding the funding of care, we are sure they will help to transform the experiences of those who are planning for the future.”
After the event there will be a question and answer session, and visitors can also take the opportunity to meet the team at Francis Court and to look around the care home if they wish.
