People of Ascot invited to plan care for the future

Home news

People in Ascot and surrounding areas are invited to find out more about planning care for the future on Wednesday 21 January from 2pm to 4pm at Care UK’s Larkland House care home.

The team at Larkland House is joining forces with Andrew Page, financial planner at Ashcourt Rowan and Stephanie Rose, partner at Clifton Ingram, for the free information seminar. Both will be sharing their knowledge and providing practical guidance on funding long term care – whether caring for someone in their own home or looking at care homes, as well as wills and power of attorney.

After the event, Andrew and Stephanie will be on hand to answer any questions, and there will also be an opportunity for members of the public to take a closer look at Larkland House.

Customer relations manager, Danielle Plant, explained why she is opening the doors to Larkland House for the planning care for the future event: “We often find that people find it difficult to make decisions about the care of a loved one, particularly if there is lack of support and advice available.

“By hosting a free information session here at Larkland House, we can open up direct access to trusted professionals who can clearly explain the options when it comes to funding care, and we can also lend our support the people of Ascot who are thinking about making plans for the future care for their loved ones right now.”

People who attend the free information seminar at Larkland House can also collect a copy of Care UK’s ‘Listen, Talk, Connect’ guide, which helps friends and relatives to overcome the challenges they may face in having conversations and general interactions with those living with dementia.

Situated on London Road, Larkland House has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home provides full time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as short term respite and day care.
