Care UK response to recent CQC inspection at Mildenhall Lodge

Home news

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has published a report this week, following their inspection of Mildenhall Lodge in December 2014.

In response to the report, Care UK’s regional operations director Rachel Gilbert said, “This new report shows that there has been further improvement in the care delivered at the home although we accept that it does detail some areas which still require attention. I must stress that this report relates to inspections carried out in December and, since then, we have worked hard to implement a great many improvements which have been acknowledged by other independent stakeholders. I’m also delighted to report that the home now has a permanent, highly experienced manager who joined us earlier this year.”

The manager has been busy getting to know each of the residents and their relatives individually. Recent feedback from residents and relatives has been very positive.

The team has prepared a busy schedule of activities and events at Mildenhall Lodge, ensuring the home and its residents remain an active part of the local community. The home team has also built strong relationships with local schools, and host regular community events and open days.
