Mildenhall Lodge is an award-winning and CQC-rated ‘outstanding’ care home that delivers personalised residential, nursing and dementia care for older people.
Exceptional leadership, a dedicated team, the ultimate in individualised care, plus superb activities and features – including a café and pub… These are just some of the reasons why our Suffolk care home was rated ‘outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in January 2018. Our CQC report highlights how everything about Mildenhall Lodge is focused on enabling residents to get the most out of every day, whatever their needs and abilities.
Your local award-winning care home
We were also delighted to win ‘Best Single Care Home in a Group’ at the 2018 Care Home Awards. The judges praised the way we empower residents to be involved in running the home. As well as using a dot voting system to enable every resident to have a say in decision-making, residents are also represented by resident ambassadors.
Care that’s as individual as you are
We believe that the secret to delivering high quality care is personalisation – knowing the person you’re caring for. When a new resident moves to Mildenhall Lodge, our team gets to know them extremely well, completing a life story book with them, full of details about their life. We use this information to design care and lifestyle plans – as well as menus – that are tailored to the person’s precise needs and preferences.
A welcoming home
Mildenhall Lodge is a purpose-built care home. We’re located close to the heart of the ancient town of Mildenhall in Suffolk. The home has been designed to give residents maximum space, choice and luxury. Each of the 60 bedrooms is spacious and has its own en-suite facilities plus quality furnishings and fittings. The home has its own bar, as well as a cinema, hair salon and café.
We even have our own pet dog – a lovely lurcher called Sinbad. Residents decided they’d like a home pet, so we made it happen. He’s become the star of Mildenhall Lodge. He’ll often sit with residents who are being nursed in bed, and even manages to tempt one resident who likes to stay in their room to come downstairs for a cuddle.
