Welcome to Mildenhall Lodge

Mildenhall Lodge is a ‘good’ rated care home that delivers personalised care for older people. Everything about Mildenhall Lodge is focused on enabling residents to get the most out of every day, whatever their needs and abilities.

Our purpose-built care home is located close to the heart of the ancient town of Mildenhall in Suffolk. The home has been designed to give residents maximum space, choice and luxury. Each of the 60 bedrooms is spacious and has its own en-suite facilities plus quality furnishings and fittings. The home has its own bar, as well as a cinema, hair salon and café.

We even have our own pet dog – a lovely lurcher called Sinbad. Residents decided they’d like a home pet, so we made it happen - he’s become the star of Mildenhall Lodge.

We pride ourselves on the transparency of our care quality and fee information - ensuring you can trust us to care from that very first step.

Hi I’m Ed, the Home Manager at Mildenhall Lodge. I believe the key characteristics needed for my role are being patient, kind, caring, dedicated and passionate, leading by example, having strong coaching abilities, and being a real people person. My favourite part of the working day is seeing residents enjoying their daily lives and making new memories with loved ones, colleagues and visitors, as well as watching my team grow and develop in their careers.

There is something happening in the home every day, without fail... they are exceptional! I sometimes visit during the activities and it's great to see my loved one getting involved... she laughs a lot. They make it really entertaining for everyone. They offer days out all the time too, and they encourage everyone to sign up... sometimes it's a museum, sometimes just to a local cafe... they try to organise things so that everyone can benefit.

I was caring for my loved one at home before she moved into the care home, and she was not at all happy. She wasn't eating and her health was deteriorating quickly. She became much healthier and happier soon after moving into the home, which speaks volumes about the place. The care team has got to know her and they understand how to help her... they know how to make her smile and they never try to force her to do anything she doesn't want to do. They just help her to be herself. It's wonderful to see.

It has been a breath of fresh air for us. We had a bad experience in another care home, and it's such a relief to see my loved one being cared for by responsible, approachable carers. The way they treat him brings tears to my eyes… they give him their time, they respect him and they genuinely care for him.
