Visitors to the care home on Evesham Road had the chance to experience a taste of the world famous German beer festival, with a selection of German beers available as well as traditional food, including sauerkraut.
There was fun for all the family when Creepy Encounters arrived with a host of creepy crawly friends and many took the opportunity to get up close with the weird and wonderful creatures, including birds of prey, snakes and lizards.
Dawn Leaver, home manager at Ambleside, said: “It was fantastic to welcome so many local people to Ambleside for our Oktoberfest celebrations. The festival is embraced all over the world and we are thrilled to have brought the excitement of the event to Stratford-upon-Avon.
“As well as traditional food and drink, everyone also enjoyed a whole afternoon of entertainment which included some impressive close-hand magic tricks, while the vintage sounds of singer Ruby Lamont helped the celebrations go with a swing.”
