Guests included Rosemary Pocket from ‘Sussex Caring Pets’ who brings her dog, Yasmin, to the home every week for animal therapy, Lesley Dawson who keeps the home’s gardens in tip top condition, and Frances Flocker Lampson who visits twice a year along with his group of ladies to wow the residents and their relatives with their tap dancing and singing skills.
There was an atmosphere of excitement in the home as Jo York, receptionist at Francis Court took to the stage and entertained the guests with her singing whilst our volunteers enjoyed a drink and slice of cake!
Activities coordinator Maxine Tyson said “It was a wonderful way to say thank you to the volunteers who give up their precious time to help out at Francis Court – they are part of our family! We all had a lovely day enjoying the cakes and music from Jo; everywhere I looked in the home there were smiles.
I’d also like to thank Jennifer Locke and everyone at Inspire Dance Academy who sadly couldn’t make it on the day. Jennifer holds a monthly quiz for our residents which is always very popular.”
