Second birthday celebrations for Brook Court care home

Home news

Brook Court care home came of age on the 30th September 2015 and to celebrate their milestone the staff held a party for residents, relatives and the local community.

There was live entertainment from ‘Poppy Sisters’ who led a birthday sing-a-long which the residents thoroughly enjoyed. Head chef David Burfoot had prepared a huge celebratory cake which the homes longest residing residents Desmond and Sylvia (pictured) had the honour of cutting. Desmond has been at Brook Court since 7th October 2013 and Sylvia since 2nd October 2013.

Brook Court activities coordinator Sue Meloa organised a flower arranging class which dressed the home beautifully for the celebration event. In the afternoon some of the residents enjoyed a trip out in the minibus for a pub lunch in Bewdley.

Brook Court care home customer relations manager Simon Maskell said “What a fantastic day. There was a great atmosphere of celebration throughout the home.  It was great to see the pleasure and excitement on the faces of all the residents, their relatives and the care team as the day unfolded, so much so that everybody has been talking about it since.”
