Francis Court celebrate Halloween in style with mystical Masquerade Ball

The team at Francis Court care home in Copthorne, West Sussex held a spook-tastic Masquerade Ball to celebrate Halloween on Saturday 31st October, for residents, relatives and stakeholders.

Guests were unrecognisable in their ghoulish get-ups which many of the residents had made in the homes weekly arts and craft class. Entertainment was provided by care team receptionist Jo York who wowed the guests with her fantastic singing voice and had all the residents up and singing along to terrifying tunes such as "That old devil called love again" and "Monster Mash".

The home was decorated with spine-chilling decorations including light up ghosts and pumpkin balloons, while guests enjoyed drinks, and a hot and cold buffet.

Organiser and activities coordinator Maxine Tyson said "This has been a thoroughly rewarding event for the whole care team. Many relatives approached me during the ball and said how much they and their loved ones were enjoying themselves. I even had several emails after the event thanking me for arranging such varied entertainment, but I had plenty of help from care staff on the day who ensured that all our residents were involved and having a great time!"
