The annual Care UK awards took place at Heythrop Park Resort in Oxfordshire on Thursday 19th November. The awards are a celebration of the great work, compassion and dedication of the staff at Care UK. With 114 homes across the UK, we support more than 7,000 people to continue living active and independent lives in warm, safe and comfortable surroundings. This year, more than 700 nominations were received across 17 categories in the Care UK awards.
Andrew Knight, Residential Care Services managing director, said: “A huge congratulations to all our winners and a big well done to everybody that had been nominated, we really appreciate the great job you’re doing.”
Christine is described as an asset to Ponteland Manor, carrying out all her tasks with ease. Colleagues say she’s always on top of things and nothing is too much trouble for her. She has an excellent knowledge of the home, is extremely professional and supportive. Christine has excellent people skills and has a fantastic relationship with residents, relatives and visitors.
Ponteland Manor Home Manager Andrea Blades said “I am very proud of both Alan Musgrove for being nominated for Maintenance Man of the year, and of course Christine for winning Administrator of the year; a very warranted winner. Christine winning was fabulous and well deserved. She is a fantastic business administrator and I find her support and knowledge invaluable. Christine is reliable, honourable and very professional - a real asset to our team in Ponteland and a great role model for Care UK.”
Winner Christine Reay said “I was extremely flattered to be nominated for the award, and even more so to have won! I work with an amazing team and couldn’t do my job without them.”
