Francine Summers, from Rugby, will have responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home. Having started her career in the care sector over 26 years ago, Francine has 16 years’ experience managing care homes. She has also held roles as an area manager – overseeing a number of care homes, and a ‘turn around’ manager – helping care homes to improve standards and gain regulatory compliance.
Francine has trained as an Enrolled Nurse, Registered General Nurse and has her Registered Managers Award.
Commenting on her new position, Francine said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager at Priors House, and I am excited to be leading a team of committed and compassionate individuals on behalf of Care UK.
“I strongly believe residents should be at the heart of everything we do here, and I will be leading the way in ensuring care is tailored to their individual needs. My favourite part of the day is seeing members of the team engaging with residents, and communicating with each other in a person-centred way; and I will be focusing on getting to know residents to ensure we continue to support them to enjoy active and fulfilled lives.”
“I am looking forward to providing positive leadership, a clear direction and a dedicated, caring approach, and I will continue to listen to residents, their families and the Care UK team as I look at ways of improving the quality of life for residents at Priors House.”
Daniel Turner-Naylor, regional director at Care UK, said: “Francine’s appointment strengthens the team here at Priors House and we are all very pleased to welcome her on board. She is a hands-on manager who is clearly looking forward to being involved in all aspects of daily life within the home, and she is already driving standards to build on the reputation Prior House has for quality, person-centred care.”
