‘Time for tea’ as Cringleford care home celebrates first birthday

Home news

People in Cringleford are invited to join in the celebrations when the team at Cavell Court care home on Dragonfly Lane host a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to mark its first year anniversary on Wednesday 13th July.

From 2pm until 4pm, residents, family and visitors can travel down the rabbit hole for a tea party with a twist, complete with a birthday cake and tasty treats homemade by the care home’s head chef. The lifestyle team will also be leading fun activities, including a creative session to make a Cheshire Cat mask and a ‘Mad Hatter’ hat making competition, with a prize for the most creative hat.

There will also be live entertainment from residents’ favourite singers Fred and Edna, who will be performing a variety of songs, including country classics, to help everyone get in the party spirit.

Samantha Woods, customer relations manager at Cavell Court, said: “Since we first opened the doors here in July 2015, we have welcomed a total of 150 residents to Cavell Court for long-term or respite care.

“There have been so many highlights over the last year and our first anniversary is a very exciting milestone for everyone. We are privileged to have the opportunity to care for the wonderful residents who have made Cavell Court their home and to provide support to their families. The special anniversary party is a big ‘thank you’ to residents and their families and friends, as well as the amazing staff who endeavour to provide the best possible care all year round.

“We have planned a fun day for all the family and a warm welcome awaits the people of Cringleford and the surrounding areas.”
