New club supports family carers in Framlingham

Home news

Family carers in Framlingham are invited to join a new support group at the Mills Meadow Club, adjacent to the care home.

The Carers Club will meet on the second Tuesday of every month, from 2pm to 4pm, with the first Club starting on Tuesday, 11th October.

The Club, which is run in partnership with Age UK Suffolk, will provide an opportunity for carers and their loved ones to meet and support others, as well as share advice and experiences in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A representative from Age UK Suffolk will also be there occasionally to provide information and advice.

Marie Reeve, home manager at Mills Meadow, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming new faces at our Carers Club on 11th October. We are keen for the Club to be a centre for information and advice, and a place where family carers and their loved ones feel supported. For anyone who is interested, please pop in for what is set to be a relaxed and informative afternoon.”

The Carers Club costs £2.50 to attend which includes tea, coffee and home-made cakes. There is no need to book a place.
