Visit from the Mayor was a sweet treat for Cumberland care home

Home news

Residents from Cumberland care home enjoyed afternoon tea with a guest of honour when the Mayor of Merton visited the home.

The team invited Mayor of Merton, Councillor Brenda Fraser, to Cumberland care home on Whitford Gardens to enjoy an afternoon of conversations and homemade cakes.

During her visit, Councillor Fraser mingled with the residents and shared stories with them. She also thanked the Care UK team for their ongoing hard work and dedication for the care of older people in the community.

Tamba Lamina, home manager at Cumberland, said: “It was lovely to have the Mayor join us for afternoon tea, and the residents were very excited about her visit.

“Everyone had a wonderful day, and we look forward to inviting Councillor Brenda Fraser back to Cumberland in the future.”
