The Lady Dannatt MBE will be performing the official ribbon cutting to open a new suite at Cavell Court on Thursday 26th January.
All are welcome from 2pm-4pm to have a first look at the new residential and nursing suite, which will provide care for 28 older people.
There will also be the opportunity to get up close with a host of feathered friends, when the Fritton Owl Sanctuary fly in for a special visit. Guests will have be able to meet owls of different species, and experts from the owl sanctuary will be on hand to provide more information about them.
Visitors will also be treated to a special performance from a harpist, and there will be complimentary refreshments prepared by the care home’s head chef, Tom Barnes.
Throughout the afternoon, visitors will also have the chance to meet the team at Cavell Court, take a tour of the home and find out what life is like for residents at Cavell Court.
Kelly Mendham, home manager at Cavell Court, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming the local community into the care home to have a first look at the new suite. We have built a warm, welcoming community here at Cavell Court, and now we have everything in place to provide the highest standards of personalised care in beautiful surroundings.
“We are excited to be in a position to open the next area of the home, and we are thrilled that Lady Dannett can also join us for our special day.”
