Birthday celebrations across the airwaves

Brook Court resident, Rex Appleton celebrated his 85^th birthday with the team and residents at the home without his family, as Rex’s daughter, Barbara lives in Canada and his son in Saudi Arabia and unfortunately couldn’t be there on the day.

However, Rex certainly didn’t miss out – the team made a fuss of Rex by putting up balloons, showering him with birthday cards and flowers - but, the icing on the cake was a Skype birthday call to Barbara in Canada.

Rex’s family were really grateful that Brook Court have embraced this new technology, which is great for keeping family connected with their loved ones – and it certainly made Rex’s day!
