Ponteland Manor invites local community to ‘meet the manager’

Ponteland Manor is inviting Newcastle people to its free open day where they will have the opportunity to meet the newly appointed manager.

On Wednesday 22^nd February from 3pm–6pm, the team at Ponteland Manor will open the doors to the care home for an afternoon of tempting refreshments and informative talks with new home manager, Barbara Davies, and her friendly team.

Throughout the afternoon, Barbara will be on hand to meet visitors and answer any questions they may have about life at Ponteland Manor. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the care home.

As home manager, Barbara oversees the team at Ponteland Manor and she has responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home. Having worked as an RGN in both NHS and private settings, and with over 13 years managing services both in the domiciliary and care home environment, including a consultant led NHS unit, Barbara has built up extensive experience and knowledge in this area.

Barbara said: “Our community open day will give visitors the chance to see the care home for themselves and to talk to the team, while also getting an insight into what day-to-day life is like at Ponteland Manor.

“We are looking forward opening our doors and cannot wait to showcase everything the care home has to offer – a warm welcome awaits the people of Newcastle.”
