Ferndown Manor will offer a range of services for older people in Ferndown and beyond. It features 75 en suite bedrooms, its own cinema, hairdressing salon and café.
Home manager, Janet Lewis, said: “What better way to mark the opening of Ferndown Manor than by showing our support for a neighbour. We were pleased to invite the children from Ferndown First Primary School to draw pictures of who they most care about and their efforts look fantastic.
“We are delighted to be able to give something back to the school and I’m sure the new residents will look forward to seeing the art created by the children.”
Ferndown First School head teacher, Jo Di-Pede, said: “We are delighted to accept the kind donation of art supplies from the team at Ferndown Manor. The arts are a source of inspiration, enjoyment and fulfilment and a very important element of our curriculum.
“The donation is perfectly timed as this week is our annual Arts Week. This year the children will be introduced to a range of vibrant art from 1980s New York.”
