From 2pm, the team at Scarlet House is welcoming the community to join residents for a free screening of Swallows and Amazons.
The home runs monthly screenings which are open to the public, and provide the ideal venue to enjoy a feature film in an intimate, relaxed and warm surrounding.
As well as free entry to the film, guests can also enjoy complimentary refreshments and meet the team at Scarlet House.
Scarlet House home manager, Pyela Mwale, said: “Here at Scarlet House, we encourage residents to continue activities that they would have enjoyed in their younger years. Going to the cinema would have been a popular pastime for many residents, and our cinema has been designed to give them the opportunity to enjoy the classic films from the comfort of their home.
“As well as being a fun activity, watching films can also be a valuable reminiscence activity, especially for those living with dementia.
“We’re delighted to be able to open this up to the wider community, and look forward to welcoming guests at our monthly screenings.”
The cinema has 11 of seats so booking in advance is essential.
