Brook Court residents soak up the sun for Care Home Open Day

Home news

Residents at Brook Court were joined by the community for a summer garden party in celebration of Care Home Open Day.

The team at Brook Court opened the doors to the care home for Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative designed to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.

Residents and visitors were joined by special guests Mickey and Minnie Mouse, for a day of celebrations which included traditional afternoon tea and entertainment from the Wheeley Different Theatre Company and local singer, Sheila.

Joanne Gill, home manager at Brook Court, said: “We had a wonderful day celebrating Care Home Open Day with the local community. The event was a brilliant opportunity to break down preconceptions about care home life and showcase the warm and welcoming care environment here at Brook Court.

“The residents and guests really enjoyed the entertainment and everyone got into the full swing of the festivities. We look forward to welcoming the people of Kidderminster to join us again very soon.”
