New home manager takes to the helm of Mill View

Mill View has welcomed a new member of the team with the appointment of a new home manager.

Debbie Wheeler will lead the team at Mill View care home on Sunnyside Close, having recently helped the team in achieving a ‘good’ rating in its CQC report.

Having previously worked for the community services division at Care UK, Debbie will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the care home, which can accommodate up to 70 residents.

Debbie is fully qualified in leadership, health and social care, and has experience managing care homes, as well as in the role of service branch manager for a domiciliary care company, which has given her extensive experience caring for residents and supporting their families.

Commenting on her new position, Debbie said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as home manager at Mill View, and I look forward to working alongside the skilled and passionate team to position Mill View as a beacon of excellent care in East Grinstead.

“I strongly believe that residents are the focus of the home and at the centre of everything we do – Mill View is their home and the Care UK team are guests within it. I will be leading by example to ensure residents continue to live active and fulfilled lives in a peaceful environment, and I look forward to getting to know them and their families.

“I particularly look forward to advancing our activities programme, as it is evident that residents partaking in activities both within and outside the home get a lot of enjoyment from them. I also hope to build on the team’s excellent record of care to ensure that the support we offer here at Mill View is personalised to each individual who currently lives here, and for those who will begin their journey into care with us.”
