On Wednesday 16th August, from 3pm-4.30pm, Bowes House will be offering a warm and welcoming environment for local family carers to meet others caring for a loved one, and share experiences.
Guests will be able to get advice and support from experienced care sector professionals, and guest speaker Ann Kates, advice session supervisor, from Hailsham Citizens Advice will be on hand to provide further guidance on support that is available to those caring for a loved one.
There will be afternoon tea and complimentary refreshments available, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Bowes House and take a tour of the care home.
Bowes House home manager, Helena Barrow said: “Here at Bowes House, we seek to provide support to people in the local community on topics relating to our work. We have held regular support sessions over the past few months and they have proven to be a great way for local family carers to come together and share their experiences.
“We have built a warm, welcoming community here at Bowes House, and look forward to welcoming local people for what promises to be another helpful and reassuring afternoon.”
