On Thursday 14th September from 6pm-8pm, the team at Ferndown Manor will open the doors to the care home on Golf Links Road for its free ‘Planning care for the future’ event.
Independent specialists Laura Clarke, from Steele Raymond Solicitors, and Amanda Cooke, an accredited later life adviser from Tilney Financial Planning, will be on hand to give local people professional advice and guidance about funding long-term care for their loved one – whether it’s in their own home or in a care home.
Laura and Amanda will be able to discuss the options available and the considerations to take when looking into long-term care, and will provide expert information on legal matters such as wills and power of attorney.
After the event there will be a Q&A session, and those who attend will also have the opportunity to meet the team at Ferndown Manor and take a tour of the care home.
Home manager at Ferndown Manor, Janet Lewis, said: “Here at Ferndown Manor we know that there is vast range of information to keep in mind when considering care for a loved one. We hope that those considering the future care of a family member or friend will take the opportunity to benefit from our expertise.
“We are delighted to welcome Laura and Amanda to the event who are both experts in their fields, and can provide guidance on the financial side of planning care, as well as covering legal issues. For those looking for more information about caring for a loved one, our new guide, A helping hand, is available at the home and can offer further support and guidance.”
