Dressed in the team’s colours, Caroline and escort Eileen Coyle-Jones, regional director at Care UK, enjoyed a pre-match dinner at Marco Pier White before heading to Stamford Bridge for the big game. The final result was 3-1 to Chelsea, but that didn’t dampen Caroline’s spirits as she headed back to Milner House to share the story of her day out.
Andrew Jarman, customer relations manager at Milner House, said: “Here at Milner House, residents are at the heart of everything we do, and we always like to arrange trips and activities around their interests to increase their wellbeing and encourage them to stay active.
“Caroline is known for being a big sports fan, especially when it involves her beloved team, Swansea FC. The team has never seen her so excited for her trip and when she returned she was beaming. Her hat, scarf and programme are now proudly displayed in her room ready for the next big game.”
Born in 1952, Caroline grew up in Langland, Swansea, where her love for the game and loyalty to her home team began. She then moved to London to work as a P.A. to an architect, and eventually moved to Surrey to live closer her family. She has been at Milner House for four years.
