The team at Weald Heights on Bourchier Close welcomed local people for an afternoon of tea, cake and dancing.
Chevening Financial supported the event and arranged for a professional ballroom teacher to come into the home to teach a ballroom masterclass. Residents and visitors took on a mixture of Latin and ballroom styles including classic steps such as the cha-cha, waltz and quick step.
Maria Covington, home manager said: “The vintage tea dance was a huge success. Many residents enjoyed dancing in their younger years, so it was a great reminiscence activity, as well as a lot of fun!
“Since opening earlier this year, we are always looking for ways we can build strong relationships with the people of Sevenoaks, so it was a pleasure to have visitors join us for the ballroom masterclass. We’re hoping to host more events like this as Weald Heights continues to establish itself in the local community.”
