Care UK, the country’s largest independent provider of health and social care, has recently acquired Knebworth, having previously been run by Abbey Healthcare.
The home has been designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, including a hair salon, coffee shop and a cinema lounge, as well as plenty of space for relaxation and recreation.
Speaking about its new roots in Woolmer Green, regional director, Bernard Mawoyo said: “We are thrilled to announce our arrival here in the town and have already received such a warm welcome from the local community, as well as residents and team members at the care home.
“We look forward to building strong relationships with local people and are ready for an exciting new chapter here in Woolmer Green.”
Knebworth is a state-of-the-art care home, providing full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care for 71 older people.
Knebworth home manager, Vera Moreira-Henocq, added: “While we’ve been established in the town now for five years, we’re really excited about this new lease of life as we become a Care UK home.
“I will be working closely with our new Care UK team to make Knebworth an even more fulfilling place for residents, with plenty of fun activities and events already in the pipeline – watch this space!”
