Priors House scoops national awards

Priors House is celebrating after winning two awards at a national awards ceremony.

Priors House was one of three finalists in the Meaningful Lifestyles Award and the Outstanding Leadership Award, and beat off stiff competition from over 100 Care UK homes nationally.

The Residential Care Services (RCS) Stars awards recognise and reward individual and team excellence across Care UK’s RCS division. Lifestyle lead, Jon Sneath, and his team won The Meaningful Lifestyles Award, which commended their warm and passionate style in creating an enriching environment for residents, building self-confidence and a greater sense of fulfilment.

The panel of judges found that the team at Priors House listened to the resident’s life story to tailor activities to each individual. The team promote independence and continue to engage residents with innovative ideas, as well as first class entertainment.

Francine Summers, home manager at Priors House, was also recognised for the Outstanding Leadership award. This award identifies colleagues in the sector who drive standards and empower team members to deliver the best possible care for residents.

Judges found that Francine’s positive attitude, professional drive and energy has helped overturn Priors House achieve a ‘good rating’ from the CQC.
