Cavell Court care home is working with Norfolk County Council and BBC Voices to create a film celebrating the 10th anniversary of the new Round House development, known locally as ‘new’ Cringleford.
Film makers are hoping to bring together people from both the new and old side of the village to celebrate all things Cringleford, and the Care UK team at Cavell Court are kick starting the project on Tuesday 16 January with a drop-in session.
From 10am* local people will be able to pop into the care home to make suggestions and share their thoughts on what should be included in the commemorative film.
Richard Lawson, home manager at Cavell Court, said: “We were delighted to have been asked to be a part of this milestone celebration here in Cringleford. The film will be a real focus for us in 2018 and we’re looking forward to getting the project started with a drop-in day this month.
“Many of the residents at Cavell Court often share their fond memories of the village and what it was like growing up here, so we are intrigued to hear what others in the local area have to say about Cringleford and all it has to offer.
“We’re welcoming anyone with a story to tell, no matter what age, to pop into our cinema and leave post-it notes with their memories, or thoughts, on what makes Cringleford a great place to live, which we will collect for inclusion in the film. We are all really excited to be involved in this project and can’t wait to see the final result.”
