On Friday 20th April, from 9am–5pm, the team will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92ndbirthday, Prince George House has organised a royal-inspired party to celebrate the open day. The day will include a traditional afternoon tea, complete with fresh cream scones. There will also be live music from a local singer and talented pianist.
Abhilash Gopi, home manager at Prince George House said: Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase everything Prince George House has to offer, and the difference care homes can make to peoples’ lives and their wellbeing. Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Ipswich for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
