On Sunday 22nd April, from 1.30pm-4pm, the team at Priors House will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
To commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday, Priors House has organised Ascot-themed celebrations. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include live music from local singer, Maggie O’Hara, a special visit from the Lollipop Ponies for a fun ‘day at the races’ and Priors House’s very own fashion show. Visitors can also look forward to watching the races on the big screen outside and have a chance to meet Priors House’s friendly team.
Francine Summers, home manager at Priors House, said: “Care Home Open Day is about connecting people and enriching the lives of residents by building lasting relationships with the local community that spans the generations.
“We cannot wait to open our doors to showcase everything Priors House has to offer, and the difference care homes can make to peoples’ lives and their wellbeing. Residents have enjoyed creating homemade crowns ahead of the royal celebration, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Royal Leamington Spa for what promises to be a fun-filled day.”
