The team at Weald Heights will be opening the doors to the care home for a free family-friendly event. The day is in celebration of Care Home Open Day, a countrywide initiative to create lasting relationships between care homes and their local communities.
On Saturday 21st April, from 3pm-4.30pm,Weald Heightshas organised a royal-inspired party to commemorate the Queen’s 92nd birthday and to celebrate the open day. With homemade crowns at the ready, entertainment will include a special performance of swing songs from Mark Sedgwick. There will be a delicious buffet on offer, freshly prepared by the home’s chefs, and the team will be on hand to meet guests and show them around the home.
Maria Covington, home manager at Weald Heights, said: “Here at Weald Heights we believe that building relationships with the local community is incredibly important in enriching the lives of residents, which is why we’re excited to be throwing a royal celebration as part of Care Home Open Day this year.”
