Priors House encourages Leamington Spa residents to become dementia friends

Home news

Priors House is helping to create a dementia-friendly community by hosting a Dementia Friends session on Thursday 17th May.

From 2pm-4pm, Priors House is inviting the community to a free event to learn more about what it is like to live with dementia.

Dementia Friends Champion’ Marsha Tuffin, will discuss how best to turn knowledge into action to help create a more dementia friendly community in Leamington Spa.

Francine Summers, homemanager at Priors House, said: “At Priors House we have a commitment to encourage others to learn about dementia, as well as help the community turn their knowledge into action by making our community more aware of those living with dementia.

“The aim of the event is to help people discover positive approaches to caring for loved ones and to support them to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

“This promises to be an interesting and inspiring afternoon of information and guidance and we look forward to welcoming members of the Leamington Spa community into our home on Thursday 17th May to spread awareness of what it is like to live with dementia.”
