On Tuesday 15th May, from 6pm-7.30pm, the team at Lauder Lodge will open the doors to the care home for its free event offering advice and guidance to all.
A representative from Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland, will be on hand to help people understand what a stroke is and the effects it can have on loved ones.They will also discuss the key signs that can help identify a stroke or a mini stroke, as well as the different stages of recovery.
After the event, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the friendly team at Lauder Lodge and take a tour of the care home.
Lauder Lodge home manager, Michelle Reid, said: “At Lauder Lodge we strongly believe professional knowledge, insight and shared experiences can make a real difference to the everyday lives of those caring for loved ones who have suffered from a stroke. With the team here committed to offering advice and practical support, we are delighted to invite Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland to the home to host our Stroke Awareness event.
