Weald Heights raises a glass to royal couple with local community

Home news

Weald Heights welcomed the local community for a special celebration to mark the royal wedding.

The sun was shining as Weald Heights opened its doors for a ‘right royal knees up’ in celebration of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding this weekend.

The home was decorated with union jack bunting, and residents had their British flags and hats at the ready as they watched a live screening of the wedding and raised a glass to the royal couple.

Residents and guests enjoyed live entertainment from local performer, Mike Mirandi, who got everyone on their feet dancing and singing along to their favourite songs.

Maria Covington, home manager at Weald Heights, said: “We had a fantastic time celebrating the royal wedding. The residents enjoyed reminiscing about their own weddings, and it was great to see so many of our neighbours join in with the fun.

“We would like to say a big thank you to the people of Sevenoaks for helping us make the day extra special.”
