Considering care for a loved one? Colne View offers free advice

Home news

Colne View will open its doors to the local community for a free event offering advice and support for those considering care for a loved one.

On Thursday 28th June, from 10am-12pm, Colne View will be inviting independent specialists to the home to provide useful and practical information at its Planning Care for the Future event.

Penny Griffiths from Eldercare Solutions and Lorna Bastian from Hill & Abbott Solicitors will join the Care UK team to discuss government funding, Power of Attorney and ways of making your savings go further. There will also be the opportunity to meet with other carers and take a closer look at the home.

Customer relations manager at Colne View, Kim Richardson, said: “We understand that considering care options for a loved one can be a difficult and confusing time. Many people are unaware of the process and how the care system works. By offering guidance and support, we hope that these complicated decisions are made less stressful by our helpful guidance.

“It is fantastic to have independent advisors, Penny and Lorna, on hand to provide professional and reliable information and we hope that the event is useful for those who are able to attend.”
