Dorota (Dora) Woloszyn, deputy manager at Skylark House care home, has been recognised as a ‘Leader of Tomorrow’ by Care Home Professional Leaders in Care 2018.
The Care Home Professional Leaders in Care Report highlights those who make a positive difference within the care industry. The report names talented individuals who show dedication, a positive attitude and unrivalled expertise.
Dora was appointed deputy manager at Skylark House in 2017, and has been praised for her dedication to providing excellent care and leading by example. She is a Dementia Champion and works tirelessly to ensure residents have their voices heard and play an active part in life at the home, especially those who struggle to communicate.
She has also successfully devised ‘Grab & Go’ folders, which contain details of residents’ medications, allergies, along with relative’s contact details, in case a resident needs emergency medical support. This initiative has helped reduce stress for residents when on hospital visits.
Dora said: “I am delighted to have been named a ‘Leader of Tomorrow’ by Care Home Professional. I enjoy making a difference to people’s lives and really care about the residents and team members at Skylark House, so to be recognised for my work is just fantastic!”
Devendra Lallchand, home manager at Skylark House, added: “Dora goes above and beyond expectations and is a true role model for those working in care. We cannot thank her enough for her dedication and commitment to the residents, it is clear that her assistance has made a real difference to the people living at Skylark House.”
