Manor Lodge celebrates tenth anniversary

Manor Lodge in Chelmsford was joined by the local community to celebrate its tenth birthday.  

Residents and visitors enjoyed live entertainment from Robert Jerome, and speeches from the Care UK team and F ather John Thackray, a relative of a previous resident and an ambassador for the home.

Guests were also treated to a hog roast and birthday cake specially prepared by the Manor Lodge's chefs, to help mark the special day in style.

Juliana Miles, home manager at Manor Lodge, said: “We had a fantastic time celebrating this significant milestone and reflect

ing on the past ten years. Over the last decade we have achieved an ‘outstanding’ CQC rating, participated in World Poetry Day, raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Comic Relief, and joined local schools and nurseries for intergenerational activity.

“Our tenth anniversary is a special event for Manor Lodge and it was a joy to host this event alongside residents and the local community. We are very proud of the strong relationships we have built with the people of Chelmsford, and we look forward to welcoming our neighbours back to visit us in the near future. We’d also like to say a huge thank you to Father John Thackray for joining us for this special occasion.”
