Over 30 Care UK team members from homes in and around greater London, including Mountbatten Grange in Windsor, Clara Court in Maidenhead, as well as Whitby Dene in Eastcote, The Burroughs in West Drayton, Elizabeth Lodge in Enfield, and some members of Care UK’s central support teams, including group CEO Mike Parish, all joined the London Pride parade to show their support to the LGBT+ community.

2019 marked the second consecutive year of Care UK taking part in the annual London Pride parade, following last year’s launch of its official LGBT+ Network, which aims to provide training and guidance to Care UK team members on LGBT+ related issues.

Eileen Coyle-Jones, regional director for Care UK’s West London homes, said: “Here at Care UK, we are committed to promoting an open, welcoming environment and an equality of opportunity for all, from residents and team members to job applicants and visitors, so we were delighted to be able to show our support to London Pride and the LGBT+ community once more.

“The parade has a unique way of bringing people together, so it was fantastic to be a part of the celebrations. It was a wonderful day for everyone involved, and I’d like to say a big thank you to every team member who joined us on the day.”
