Britten Court makes the finals in Suffolk Care Awards

Britten Court is celebrating after being shortlisted in the Suffolk Care Awards.

Britten Court makes the finals in Suffolk Care Awards

The home has made it to the final stage in the ‘Excellent Training Opportunities’ category in the awards, which recognise those delivering quality care services in Suffolk.

The regional awards reward excellence and aim to shine a light on the work that individuals and care providers undertake.

At Britten Court, there are no barriers to what the team can achieve if they show talent and dedication. The senior team has a far-sighted approach to the training and progression of all colleagues, and wholeheartedly believes in the benefits of learning and progressing – for colleagues, and for residents who they are caring for.

Chloe Swarbrick, home manager at Britten Court, said: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted in the ‘Excellent Training Opportunities’ category for this year’s Suffolk Care Awards.

“If a colleague shows determination, they can achieve anything at Britten Court. Our deputy manager has worked her way from being a domestic team member, head housekeeper, business administrator and then deputy home manager. She is also currently on the Care UK ‘Emerging Leaders’ programme, which recognises talent to support home managers of the future to progress.

“By developing and promoting people through development pathways, vital and valuable knowledge and experience is retained within the home team. The investment in colleague training and development ensures everyone feels valued and supported, and that they then go above and beyond to support each other, as well as residents and their families.”
