Local care ho-ho-home brings festive cheer to Frimley

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at a Frimley care home, with the local community celebrating the festive season at its Christmas Fair.

Care UK’s Whitebourne care home, on Burleigh Road, brought festive cheer to the town with a very special event.

Visitors started their Christmas shopping at a number of stalls, enjoyed a festive raffle and said hello to Father Christmas in his grotto. After all the exciting activities, guests and residents tucked into a mulled wine and tasty mince pies, while enjoying festive music.

Derek Purchese, home manager at Whitebourne, said: “We were thrilled so many people from the local town joined us to kick off the festive season in style. It was even better to be able to get some of the Christmas shopping ticked off!

“Building relationships is a big part of what we do here at Whitebourne, and we strive to be active members of the community so residents can continue to live fulfilling lives. The turnout was brilliant and we’re all looking forward to the festivities ahead.”

Whitebourne care home has been designed to provide residential and specialist dementia care, as well as respite, and sensitive end of life care. The home has a hair salon, café and garden, enabling residents to live active and fulfilling lives.
