Home manager takes the helm at Thorrington care home

A care home in Thorrington has announced the appointment of its new home manager.

Bringing more than 30 years’ experience in the nursing and care sector to her new role, Joanne Rix will lead the team at Care UK’s Silversprings, on Tenpenny Hill.

A qualified nurse, Joanne has worked in a variety of health and social care settings, from supporting adults with learning disabilities to working in mental health. Having previously managed two other care homes in Suffolk, Joanne decided to join Care UK after discovering the high-quality care and facilities offered at Silversprings.

Joanne’s new position will see her take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the care home, which accommodates up to 64 residents.

Commenting on her new position, Joanne said: “I am delighted to be leading the team at Silversprings, and continuing to ensure we provide the highest standard of care for residents.

“I love knowing that the work we do supports residents to lead active and fulfilling lives, and I’m thrilled to be working with a company whose visions and values align with my own.
