Residential care explained – Edinburgh care homes host free advice event

Three care homes in Edinburgh are inviting local people to join a free online event offering support for people considering care for their loved one.

On Wednesday 28^th April, from 6pm-6:40pm, the Care UK teams at Lauder Lodge, Murrayside and Cairdean House care homes will be hosting a free virtual event ‘Discover the best of care in Edinburgh’.

Customer Relations Managers, Leona Thomson, Richard Annan and Gill Gray, will be on hand to offer information and expert advice for those considering care for a loved one, including the types of care available and funding options.

Gillian Goodall, Home Manager at Cairdean House, said: “Choosing future care of a loved one is an important decision, even more so after the past year. Here at Cairdean House, we understand that providing advice and guidance can be incredibly helpful for anyone considering the future care for themselves or a relative, which is why we are delighted to host this virtual event.

“It is a privilege to be joined by our Care UK neighbours, Lauder Lodge and Murrayside, who can also provide professional guidance, a range of care, and local insight, to those looking to find out more about the care homes in Edinburgh.”

For anyone unsure about how to take part in the virtual event, help is at hand. The teams will host the event using Zoom, an online meeting space. Simply call or email Customer Relations Managers, Leona Thomson, Richard Annan and Gill Gray, and they will let you know how to join the event and share tips to make the most out of the session.
