Team behind multi-million-pound Chichester care home celebrates ‘topping out’

Chichester’s newest care home, set to open later this year, has marked its latest construction milestone.

The Care UK team and representatives from specialist construction partner, Frontier Estates, has placed the final roof tile at Chichester Grange, on Grosvenor Road.

The purpose-built care home – which is expected to welcome the first residents in Autumn 2021 – will provide full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for up to 75 older people, as well as respite and end of life care.

The care home, which includes facilities such as its own cinema, hair salon and café, is specifically designed to promote activity-based care, and encourage independence where possible in a safe environment.

Natalie Smith, Development Project Manager for Care UK, said: “As one of the latest additions to a growing portfolio of residential care homes, Chichester Grange represents a major investment for Care UK, and reflects our commitment to improving the provision of residential care in the area.

Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the new care home, which is set to open later this year, will incorporate space for hobby and leisure activities. The layout of the building will be configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to help facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
