Ferndown community invited to celebrate special milestone

A care home in Ferndown is inviting the local community to toast a special milestone. 

On Tuesday 28^th March, from 2pm-4.30pm, the team at Care UK’s Ferndown Manor, on Golf Links Road will be hosting a special party complete with live music to mark six years since the home’s opening. 

On the day, there will be entertainment from Mike Sideway on hand to welcome guests. Visitors will also be treated to afternoon tea with a host of cakes, baked by chefs Brian Harris & Endri Setyawati.

Those visiting will also have an opportunity to take a tour around Ferndown Manor and see exactly what life is like at the home. There will also be a range of advice stands, so visitors can learn more about the support available in the local community, including healthy hearing, eye health and oral care in later life.

Sara Muslin, Home Manager at Ferndown Manor, said: “We’re thrilled to be inviting the community to join us and celebrate this special milestone – reaching our home’s sixth birthday. 

“We’ve welcomed some real characters to the home, hosted countless events and parties and built long-lasting relationships with our neighbours, including our wonderful young friends at Ferndown Upper School.

“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone come together, enjoy the live music and for residents to share their favourite memories of life at Ferndown Manor – it is set to be a fantastic day.”
