Isleworth care home achieves gold standard for palliative care

A care home in Isleworth has earned a prestigious accreditation recognising its high standards of care for residents in the later stages of life. 

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Quality Hallmark Award has been presented to Care UK’s Charlotte House, on Snowy Fielder Waye, highlighting exceptional end-of-life nursing care for residents and support for their families.

 

Developed in 2004, GSF is a practical and evidence-based end-of-life care service improvement programme. It is centred around ensuring people live well in the last years of their lives and pass away comfortably in the environment and manner of their choosing.

The home received the award at the GSF annual conference and awards ceremony in Birmingham - a celebration of the UK's exceptional health and social care providers for care in the final year of life.

During the ceremony, Charlotte House was recognised for the quality of care the team provides to residents and its compassionate culture  , reflecting its commitment to ensuring people receive the right care at the right time.

Charlotte House is a purpose-built care home which has been designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and specialist dementia care for older people in Isleworth, as well as short-term respite care, and incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies.
