Residents at a Chipping Campden care home had a shear-iously wonderful time during a visit from some fleecy friends.
Residents at Care UK’s Mill House, on Sheep Street, enjoyed a truly ewe-nique afternoon of cuddles with some local lambs as part of the home’s seasonal celebrations.

Team members and residents had fun interacting with, feeding and cuddling the lambs, creating meaningful moments of connection between both the animals and residents.
For many residents, especially those with rural backgrounds, the visit sparked powerful memories and emotions.
Myrtle, a resident at Mill House, was overcome with emotion and said: “I don’t know why I’m crying, it’s so wonderful – this is wonderful.”
The experience proved particularly special for one resident, Tony, a former vet. Having spent much of his life working with animals, Tony handled the lambs with ease, visibly relaxing and enjoying the moment while sharing memories from his career.
Lorraine Uzcategui, Home Manager at Mill House, said; “It was a real joy to see the residents so visibly enchanted by the visitors.
“Experiences like this bring so much more than just entertainment, they spark memories, encourage interaction and create genuine moments of happiness. Many residents come from farming or rural backgrounds, which made this a particularly meaningful activity. It gave everyone the chance to reminisce, share stories and reconnect with an important part of their lives.
“Residents haven’t stopped talking about the visit, and we’re already looking forward to our next one.”
