A care home in Newbury has enjoyed the company of some b-ewe-tiful friends to celebrate the start of spring.
Residents at Care UK’s Newbury Grove, on London Road, were delighted when four lambs sprang into the home to help them welcome the new season.

Team members and residents had fun interacting with Nollie, Norbit, Nellie and Noah, who were brought in by Polly from Forest Edge Valais Blacknose Sheep.
Residents were also able to learn more about lambing season, prompting them to reminisce about their own experiences with animals in their younger years.
95-year-old resident Sylvia said: “They were lovely and felt very silky to touch. It was great to have them in our home!”
Adarsh Kurian, Home Manager at Newbury Grove, added: “We’re always looking for exciting activities to put a smile on residents’ faces.
“Animals are a fantastic way of improving relaxation and wellbeing in older people. The residents loved meeting the lambs, and this visit was a great way of prompting social interaction as they shared cherished memories with each other.
“I’d like to extend a big thank you to Forest Edge Valais Blacknose Sheep for a lovely day – we’re definitely ready for spring now!”
Newbury Grove has been designed to deliver the very best standards of care and enable residents to lead active and fulfilling lives. The home provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care, and incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies, with facilities including its own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub.
