Event
Residents at Care UK’s Charlotte House, have been treated to haircuts from local hairdresser, Sue Robinson, for several years, and now the home is offering the service to the local community.
Sue has created a hairdressing experience that puts those living with mobility challenges and dementia at ease by creating a multi-sensory experience using touch and physical contact.
Those local to Charlotte House can now book an appointment, which are available every Thursday at a reasonable cost.
A trip to the hairdressers can have many benefits for the wellbeing of someone living with mobility challenges and dementia, as it can help to maintain their appearance and ensure they look their best, but also impact how they feel and their own identity.
